Initially wanted to get the Adjustable Height Heavy Duty Workstation Central Machinery (item#46725) based on reviews but there was only one left. The packaging had be re-taped a few times so I decided on this tool stand. I was happy I did. As with most HFT items, the instructuions are fairly useless but putting this stand together is pretty straightforward. My daughter wanted to help so it made it easier. Twenty minutes is all you'll need.

This stand is for an old Walker-Turner 900 drill press so I needed something with a high weight capacity. I topped it with a piece of 3/4" ply and put the drill press on top of that. I then re-torqued all the nuts. I see no reason why this stand won't last as long as the drill press. I'm glad I purchased this stand instead of the other one.

As a little note during setup, some of the angles of the pieces are off a bit which made putting it together a little tricky. But nothing that a rachet/drill driver can't overcome. Also, the predrilled holes on the top side brackets don't match. You can see this in the picture. Again, no big deal as I topped it with plywood. I plan on buying another for a bench top band saw.

This stand is quick to assemble and is very sturdy and fairly lightweight. I mounted a 10" band saw on it (not from HF) and the only thing I needed to do was drill a few holes to bolt it on since the stock holes didn't line up at all.

Add some wheels and your all set with this stand.

I used this stand to hold my 14" chop saw. I fabbed an angle iron tray to hold the saw and bolted the tray to this stand. It's super sturdy and easy to assemble.

My only gripe was that the top pieces that your tool is bolted to were not straight. No problem, I just bent them straight with some flat sheet-metal pliers.

I did not knock off a star for that since the price and sturdiness of this stand makes up for it. Highly recommend!

I also put a piece of 3/4 inch wood on top, but it was to support my benchtop drill press. Goes together somewhat easily, and you can cut an alternate piece of plywood, or whatever, to use as a shelf underneath.

I bought this stand to hold a large tool box to free up work bench space. I installed a piece of 3/4 inch maple plywood as a top and the stand is very sturdy, easily supporting 200 plus pounds. The stand is easily moved due to its light weight, so it can serve as a work table when working on things around the house and yard, if you wish. I recommend this stand.

Assembly instructions could be better. I wanted a wide top to mount a wood top and then drill press.
The top end rails seemed too short compared to the center brace, no holes to put carriage bolts thru.

I was able to add more holes to bolt together the top sections. I then had to shim the wood top as the bolts were making the top wobble.

When it was all bolted together with the top, this stand is VERY sturdy and no doubt will support 300 pounds of weight.
