I bought this Impact wrench for one purpose: to take the crank pulley bolt off my Honda Civic VX.

I tried removing it with my 1/2 in drive _Craftsman C3 lithium ion electric impact wrench (max 200ft/lb). Failed.

I tried removing it with my 1/2 drive _Craftsman air impact wrench (model 19983) (max 400ft/lb). Failed.

I have two other impact wrench: Another sears _Craftsman air impact with 450 ft/lb rating and an allied air impact wrench (probably 200ft/lb). Both 1/2 in. I didn't bother with these since the they would have failed (I also lost the key to the tool cabinet holding these two impact wrenches :) ).

That night I rushed to HF - luckily they close at 9pm. I was able to get the 3/4 impact wrench with adapters (3/4 to 1/2 'dapter). I also got a 3/8 to 1/4 inch air intake adapter. I'm restricting the tool with the 1/4 inch fittings, but I didn't want to upgrade my line at the moment.

When I got home I put the fittings together with teflon tape (adapter and my 1/4 male quick fittings). The next day I put the impact wrench on the pulley bolt.
It was the only impact wrench that turned the harmonic balancer.
It had so much torque, yet did not remove the pulley bolt! However,
I realize my compressor was recharging. After it recharged, I was
able to remove the bolt. I was ecstatic! It took about 60 secs to
get the bolt off. The other impact wrenches I spend considerable time trying to remove the bolt and it did not budge.

This impact wrench is a keeper. If I had this in my arsenal of tools, I cold have finished my timing belt/water pump removal/replacement in a day, easily.

This thing removed Honda Crank bolt in 2 seconds!!!!! Nothing before would budge that or any other Honda crank bolt I have worked on.

For the price it can't be beat by anything. I paid the same amount for my 1/2" impact. Worth every penny.

Easily removes wheel lugs, axel nuts and rusted engine bolts on my pair of 20 year old Suburbans. Can be run off a normal carpenter's pancake air compressor.

Had to review this again after more use. Every problem bolt I have ever had when tearing a car apart was NO problem for this thing. Namely spindle nuts, crank pully bolts, exhaust connecting pipe nuts, etc.

I've done the hours of trying to get off only two bolts in the past. I've bent galvanized pipe cheater bars. I've snapped 1/2" breaker bars in two. I fought trying to keep the whole car in place as you put 200, 300, 400 ft lb into those stuck bolts while it is in the air. I heard the "I thought this was suppose to be quick" from my other half.

This thing is heaven sent. Just put it up to the bolt, push the button, and almost always, in a few seconds, the bolt is loose. ANY CAR bolt at least. And the wife said this time, "Wow, that went faster than I expected."

We use a gas powered air compressor when we really need to with 3/8" couplings and 1/2" hose, but for the most recent tear down, I used it on a 5 gallon pancake compressor with 1/4" couplings and 3/8" hose and an adapter because I was too lazy to roll out the gas one get out all that "stuff". Now granted, it had to be full pressure and only gave you a few seconds of work before the pressure dropped too much and just gave up, but a few seconds is all this thing needed!

And best thing of all, you didn't have to hold any thing in place! Wheels in the air, lug nuts still not problem. Crank pully holder in a drawer somewhere, crank bolt still no problem, no one to hold the brakes, spindle nut still not a problem [that one took two refills of the air compressor :)]. Nuts rusted on exhaust connecting pipe, no problem and no stripped nuts [except that ONE nut with access issues that is now stripped and destroyed AND took longer than the other 5 nuts]!

If you do car work and have a 1/2" drive impact that just doesn't cut it sometimes, just buy this thing. You will curse less.

Output shaft bearings on Ford Explorer 1354 transfer case worn out and wearing out the casings... 30mm nut on rear output shaft, didn't have a 30mm impact socket and I'm tired of trying to hold shafts/bolts while messing around with a breaker bar or piddling around with 1/2" air wrench, so I got the 8 piece 3/4" drive socket set and this air wrench. 1 short trigger pull and the nut was off. I figure if this saves me from damaging a rotator cuff or from breaking teeth out if a wrench or bar slips, it is worth it's weight in gold. I'd would have bought it even without a 20% off voucher.

Made quick work of a stubborn crank pulley bolt that I've been messing with for over a week. This gun is a deal at twice the price. Great tool to have in the cabinet.

Had this impact for about a yr and still works great. I use it only about once per week on those extra stubborn bolts. The 90the psi max is a joke... needs to have 150psi to work well. Barely functions on 90psi so if you don't have a good compressor you wont be happy with the gun. Otherwise it's the best 3/4 gun without spending a fortune

I had a 350 ft-lb impact wrench that required 5 SCFM @ 90 psi. This one is rated at 950 ft-lb and 7 SCFM @ 90 psi. The package said it is not recommended for use with 1-7 gal compressors so I was hesitant to use it with my portable Porter Cable 2.6 CFM 6 gal pancake compressor. But I figured, short intermittent bursts would work okay. Maybe I won't reach 950 ft-lb, but in theory it is more efficient than my old 350 ft-lb wrench so I should get more torque out of it, so what the heck. It was worth trying. At first, I used the smaller shorter hose that came with the compressor (I think 3/8"?) and it failed to remove the 22mm crankshaft bolt. I switched out the hose to my larger one (1/2"?) and I could tell a huge difference in the power. The bolt was off after three moderate bursts in less than 10 seconds. I got it on sale AND used a 20% cpn. WOW! Thanks HB!

As with all the other comments, after agonizing for hours on a crankshaft bolt, this bad boy spun of off with the first trigger pull. Also, brake caliper bolts are always a huge challenge and this also made easy work of it.
