Best bang for the buck. All you need to do is grind two areas and bend the foot plate to allow the stand to fully lock in the raised position and add a little grease on the post during assembly. In 30 minutes it was ready to go. Lifts my KTM dual sport with ease and locks into the raised position without the use of the pin. Very good stand for the money. I got mine for [$]. Better the 1/2 price of the compition. I'd buy another one anyday of the week.

Works great! I added a little grease to the post to help it slide. It only takes about 75 pounds to lift a 200 pound bike.

Works great on my KX450F and my KTM 250SX, I don't think the stand would be very good for smaller bikes for the reason that the stand doesn't go low enough to fit underneath the frame without being lifted. Also the stand is not stable without the pin installed.


I would recommend this product.

My MX dirtbike is 3/4 size, 32-inch seat height, with 13-inch ground clearance to the skidplate. It was just barely tall enough to clear the minimum height of this stand. The stand will be too tall for most pit-bikes as well as small frame 50cc-125cc dirt bikes. On the other end of the spectrum, large heavy bikes that weigh considerably more than the rider cannot be lifted, unless you're able to press more than the weight of your bike with one leg. (My MX dirt bike outweighs me by approximately 15-20 lbs)

Some people were grinding metal off the lifting pedal so it could be depressed fully; thus locking the lift in place. All I did was put (4) 3/8 inch thick self-adhesive rubber feet on the bottom of the stand. One for each corner. Takes less than a minute to do and the extra height now allows you to lock the stand in place without having to grind down the lifting pedal. I also added a rubber non-slip pad to the pedal so my feet won't accidently slip off during operation, especially when the pedal's wet & slippery.

I gave 4 stars because it does require a slight modification by the end-user to work properly. Obviously an oversight by the design engineers.

for a 2013 Yamaha XT250, wt. 291 dry, 11.2" ground clearance. works great. comments re: not locking in up position accurate as are fixes. Additional tips 1. add holes for the locking pin in the DOWN position, keeps pin from getting lost and easier to carry, 2. DO NOT overtighten bolts, will lock pivots, 3. grease base shaft and all pivots before assy.4. lift bike while pushing down with foot,(as in Gold Wing center stand)

There is a design flaw in this stand that forces the use of the safety pin to keep the stand from crashing down. As delivered, the lever arm does not go gown far enough allowing the stand to top out and come back down slightly (which is what all other mx lift stands do).. After some grinder work I can not get the stand to drop down unless I want it to. No safety pin needed.

It's a great stand if you tweak a few things....





The stand doesn't want to lock in when you press the arm down. That happens for two reasons, both fixable with a grinder.





The arms you press down hits the ground before the arm locks, so grind that edge that hits the floor so the arm can go down slightly further.





The arm also hits the edge that the bottom bolt goes thru, that also keeps it from locking itself. Grind down that edge and the arm will lock and you won't have to use the pin to keep it up. I have two and they both work great.

It's a good stand for dirtbikes and supermotos. It isn't low enough for a DRZ400sm, but has been great for my CRF450r, I wouldn't leave this stand without the safety pin or a screwdriver in the hole, because slight movements on it has made it fall back down. But overall its a great stand considering the price and it has held up to a ton of use.
