These are amazing. I use it for wood actually. I've done several pieces of furniture from recovered wood and pallets. Slap this wheel on your grinder and it strips paint and mold, smooths rough patches, and smooths and curves corners. Leaves wood fairly smooth needing only a little finer sanding and you're good. Buy it!
*LIKE ANOTHER REVIEWER SAID: do wear a mask as this thing turns paint and wood into a "powdered sugar" consistency.

Hands down the best medium I've used for stripping paint/bondo/rust/etc off of a car. I'm using this to take the body to bare metal to expose and remove any rust. This wheel powers thru everything QUICK! Better than everything I've used - even $500 'tooltruck' tools. Long lasting - regularly use one wheel for at least 3 hrs straight.

MAKE SURE TO WEAR FACE PROTECTION!!! this is a given with any sanding, but this stuff is particularly nasty when coming off at 11,000RPM

For autobody paint & rust removal I tried the wheels from Eastwood @ $10.00 each and they worked great. I then tried the Harbor Freight version, they worked as well if not better, lasted longer and at half the price.

I got this to remove old peeling paint for my House trim. One wheel romved paint from a 4" wide board 40' long. It never stop cutting because as the disk wore it stayed sharp and clean.

What a great item! Cleaned off the deck with a belt sander and got in close to the edges with an angle grinder and this stripper. Almost worked faster than the belt sander. I going to keep a couple of these on hand for other uses.

I ended up with 7 of my grandma's old steel patio chairs and a glider. Most of them had three or more layers of paint and all had lots of rust.I started using a wire brush but it was slow. When my husband recommended buying a small angle grinder at HF, I saw this and decided to try it. It's much faster and leaves a smooth finish. It doesn't miss any loose paint except for the corners. I've worn out two wheels cleaning up 5 chairs and the glider. I recommend wearing a full face mask, gloves, long sleeves and heavy pants when using this.
