I read all reviews posted and it sounds like the manual was only half read. It said to charge for 48 hours if using a 12 volt power source, 12 hours if you are using a 110 volt power source and to check often to make sure you are not over charging. It also says to ground the tool to the car NOT THE NEGITIVE BATTERY POST. If you do eather of these you will damage the tool.

I have used this item for over five years. It has been an excellent jump started and air compressor. I did not buy it from Harbor Frieght at the time. I bought it from some where else. I wished I had bought it from Harbor Freight and my new one will be bought there. I have used it to jump start cars and with a little help from my Toyota Tacoma Have been able to start V-8 Trucks but not any Diesel trucks. I will keep my old one for extra parts if I need them, But I do not think that I will. I was just going to replace the Battery inside but it costs more than the whole unit, so I will buy a new one.

I used this Power pack instead of starting my generator in the back of the truck a lot of the times. Its does a great job on keeping the truck cooled with a fan off the inverterin the back of the pack. I was a life saver provoding me power for my phone as well as other devices when i lost all electrical power on my truck and was stranded for a couple days..

The 5 in 1 has lasted me 5 years and just won't take charge anymore for the price i paid for it than was worth every penny ,the car lighter and plugs for it worked great.

I use this product on a daily basis. It is with me at all times. After using the power pack until the power indicator is at minimum, in the yellow, it still has alot of power for the different uses it has to offer. If you want this item to work for you to its highest capacity follow the charging insrtuctions and it will never let you down.

I am able to easily start my motorhome when its battery is completely dead.
This is a Ford 460 V8. I do charge the jumper box before trying the motorhome start.
My one gripe about the jumper box is the location of the inverter switch. it is on the back of the box and not under the plastic cover.
The switch has been bumped, resulting in the inverter turning on. This has run the battery down a coupe of times.
Why not put the charger port on the back and the inverter switch under the plastic cover.
Overall the jumper box seems to be a quality device that I will use for years.

Jump-Start and Power back-up for DC or AC devices with Air and LED light - Does all that I need. The battery lasts a very long time before it needs to be recharged. Nice for camping - no stinky fumes, messy gas or noise!
But no USB power...
Easily solved with item 96515.
