5 Piece Quick Change Masonry Drill Bits

The newest sets of these that are in the retail stores are WAY better quality than the pictured ones here. Solid shanks, brazed tips, etc. The new ones have polished shanks and come in a dark color and red package. No problems with my set, so far.

I put the bit in an existing hole and pulled the trigger on the drill. I got a bad wobble, and immediately stopped. The bit was bent. Badly. Fortunately, I didn't do too much damage, and was able to straighten the bit and continue. I bought the set at a local HF store, and they came in a blister pack with a blue and yellow paperboard insert.

The wings on the 3/8 bit broke off half way through the second two inch hole. I was drilling into a standard basement slab. Boo.

not worth it. 3 holes and wore out. others broke

within 30 second, the bit bent almost 90 degree under light pressure.

the next size up, the drill bit is not centered, and the tip just swirl around a 1/4" circle.

don't bother.

tried drilling into brick to secure shudders. the 5/32" bit bent on the 2nd hole and the 3/16" couldn't even dimple the material. Not even worth the [$] I paid for them. Not even worth $2. Can't find my receipt tho. Just throwing them out...

I know... at the price I should not have expected more but I have purchased quite a few items from HF and have been very happy. These bits are hollow shanked. They will bend, break and twist apart and this is with minimal use. Sorry but a complete waste of money!
