I am an avid bicyclist, and particularly enjoy pedaling before Sunrise/after Sunset. Why? Because I have multiple battery-powered lights, both flashing and steady beam, mounted on my Doublevision tandem recumbent and helmet, most of them from Harbor Freight. Visibility is the single greatest factor in road safety for ALL vehicles upon our excellent highways and byways; Harbor Freight lights give me a feeling of safety that is even unmatched by designated bike lanes or a segregated bikeway! I highly recommend Harbor Freight lights to everybody who want a surefire system of lighting!

This is a great flashlight. The first one I purchased had a tempermental on/off switch. I exchanged it for another and had no problems. The flashlight features two brightness settings. On it's second setting, it may be the brightest flashlight I have ever used. Plus, the light area is very wide versus the smaller light field of standard flashlights. I have not had any issues with batteries (standard alkaline) or overheating.

Tested this against my 3W Maglight and it blows it away on the LOW setting (fewer LEDs on) in a large room. High setting lights up the whole room.





The 3W Maglight will probably still throw more light at a distance (like a roof) since it can focus the light, but this flashlight is awesome for everything else.





Machine work is excellent. Aluminum body feels solid. Lens is so-so plastic and probably wouldn't like too much abuse.





Precharged (rechargable) batteries are a bit tight in the battery compartment, but hasn't gotten stuck yet.





Took an old set of batteries (alkalines) and ran it on high. After 12 hours it was still giving off (dim but) usable light.





Base is flat (except for the wrist strap) so it can sit on a surface and point to the ceiling (for room lighting)





Luv it! Awesome for the price. Now I have to figure out how to carry it comfortably on my belt (it has such a big head).

As the other customer said, it's a very bright light and an awesome value for the money. It's also made out of aluminum, so it's quite rugged.

There is something about the lithium batteries that cause the flashlight to go out after just a few minutes of use. It will work again after a few minutes, but will go out again. I have no problem with normal batteries.

Otherwise I love the flashlight as do visitors that have used it!

Flashlight provides an overwhelming amount of light if directed at the face of another person during periods of darkness. The color of light mimics that of HID headlights. As is usually the case with LED lights, these are shock resistant and quite durable.

On low beam the center LED's kept burning out. After two bad flashlights, I rewired for high beam only. No more LED's burned out but switch is now on-on-off. Unfortunately the Harbor Freight rechargeable NiMH batteries are too large to fit in the flashlight. Had to use another brand of rechargeable batteries.
