I must admit my expectations were low but i am honestly very impressed! Very sturdy & well built.
Only problem is I did not recieve all the blades or the allen wrench but no big deal.
Could anyone tell me does Harbor Freight sell more of the blades???

I bought this tool about a year ago and put it in one of drawers and really didn't think about it. Until I came across it again when we moved into a new shop. Since then as we only have one it seems that we all reach for it at the same time and it's always an argument on who will use it first.

I had to remove the porcelain mosaic tile from a wet-bed bathroom floor. After going at it hammer-and-tongs with every tool in my shop, breaking tiles, tearing up chunks of mortar and getting really mad, I remembered I had this air scraper. I don't know what I bought it for--probably because it was on sale--but I'm glad I did.

Here are some tips:
1. The so-called regulator is useless. It's a powerful tool, but not so powerful you need to throttle it down. (I'm betting that the people who said it was under-powered had their regulators shut down.) After a while the valve gets loose and turns itself down. Save yourself some frustration; just take it off.
2. Don't use a brass coupler. The powerful vibration will beat it to smithereens. In fact, you should attach a short hose directly to the body of tool and connect the coupling to that.
3. Put 3 drops of air tool oil into the air fitting before each use. If you're using it for hours at a time, stop and oil it periodically.
4. In most cases, hold the tool with the beveled edge of the blade resting on the surface you're clearing. You want most of the wear to occur at the ground surface, not the flat side of the blade, so you can sharpen it by grinding back the bevel at the same angle.

The wet-bed mortar was hard on the blades. I used the two 1-inch blades and had to sharpen both of them four times, but they really worked great with a good edge on them. All I had to do was work the tip of the blade under the edge of a tile and up it came, usually without even breaking.

It should go without saying, but this is one tool where the advisory to wear eye protection should be heeded.

I bought scraper to removing some paint. Before I bought the tool I read reviews about problem people having. So when I get the tool I lubricate before use with PB loose rust lubrication let seat for 15 min. Plug to air 90psi and tool work with any problem. After first time use lubricate with standard air tool oil.

I bought the previous iteration of this tool (single blade) from Harbor Freight back about 1995. This tool still works fine and does a great job on removing the baked-on nasty kind of gaskets like old V-8 valve cover gaskets, oil pan gaskets, front cover gaskets, etc. This thing saves you a lot of grief and for the price, it can't be beat! Just be careful not to gouge the metal parts because this thing surely will if you don't pay attention to what you're doing.

I own the previous model, I've had it for about 10 years and use it several times a week on the light rail trains i maintain as a profession. I will be upgrading to this model as soon as the old one fails. no signs or pending failure yet.

About two years ago, I purchased a house built in the 1960's that still had the original vinyl flooring. This tool was a good send for removing the stuck that did not come up with the vinyl.

I bought one of these a few years back after seeing a co-worker use one. I've never seen one anywhere else. It works great at removing baked on gaskets, such as oil pans, valve covers, etc. Saves time and busted knuckles! The only problem is the regulator wont stay tight . I'm happy with it.
