We used this pump for our 'disappearing fountain' which is a big plastic tub below ground level with a huge millstone and other rocks on the top. The pump sends water up through the rocks and as it cascades down, the tub collects the runoff. This pump has been working great for the past 2 years with the included bubbler head. I'm sure now that I cautiously posted a positive review it will break soon, but so far I am very happy with this pump.

i have several of these. use one for a protein skimmmer and on the same tank as a return pump. on a large freshwater tank i have one that im using as a power head to give the fish some extra current. I have not run into any problems I havent seen from most other brands of pumps for a fraction of the cost.

I originally bought this to use as a return pump from my sump for my fish tank. However it is soo fast I would have to regulate the water to the speed of the overflow and that seemed liek restricting it too much I don't want to burn the pump up by cutting the water flow that much so I bought a smaller version for the sump tank and will use this for draining the tank for weekly water changes. It will make quick work of those!

Saltwater sumps, amazon river tanks, smaller ponds, very powerful pump for price, Ive had one on pond for 3years still goin.
Love it..... marineland comparable pump is over $100.

I purchased this pump for an aquarium I am building. First off it doesn't come with a water flow/lift table. So you have no idea what flow rate you will get after the pupmp lifts the water a given distance. The rating of 650 gph is for zero lift. I needed to know the flow rate for 4 feet of lift and even the harbor freight tech support couldn't tell me. It is also noisy and the accessories are flimsy and leak all over the place. I made my own manifold to use instead of the one that came with it. You get what you pay for.

Tested pump capacity at zero head pumping through 5 feet 1/2 inch irrigation tubing. Pump is closer to 450 gph than 620. Fittings are flimsy and not well thought out, but if 450 will work, this pump does move water.

I bought this pump for a small, 400 gallon Koi pond. The first pump lasted about 2 months before dying. When I went to return it, the manager gave me a hassle (Even though I bought an extended warranty). Guess what? Pump number 2 only lasted 24 hours before dying. Again, I went to exchange it and the manager gave me a hard time. PURE OVERSEAS GARBAGE. You get what you pay for. Save your money, and buy a better pump somewhere else.

The cord is so short that the pump can not be put in a pond. I am not sure where you can use it. It puts out too much to use in an aquarium but because of the length of the cord, it definitely is NOT a pond pump!
