Description
This bimetal bandsaw blade features hook style, variable set teeth for smoother cuts, faster sawing, improved chip clearance and longer blade life. Primarily used for cutting steel, this superior blade can also be used on nonferrous materials and wood, handle solid and interrupted cutting (such as tubing) and provide lower cost per cut on the toughest sawing jobs. Features include a spring steel back to provide flexibility and toughness as well as reduced noise during use.

Better than Lenox!

        I was skeptical to spend this much for "no-name" blade from HF, but I was in a pinch at the time and needed a quick replacement blade. Wow have I been surprised & thrilled with its performance! It has way outlasted my "more reputable" Lenox blades, never mind the useless "stock" blade that came with the saw, which broke just when the saw was warming up for its first use ever, LOL. I've used this in my HF metal bandsaw one weekend a month for a couple years now, feeding a steady diet of 1/4" & 1/2" mild steel, plus a little 3/16" and tried some 1/8" (WAY too thin for this aggressive a blade). My welded Lenox blades now sit on the shelf as back-ups if this one ever fails, but only till I can buy another Supercut! Tip: Tighten the blade tension adjustment knob as tight as you can by hand during your work sessions and release the tension when not in use (ie, storage); you might have to "help" the blade get going by spinning one of the pulley wheels back & forth BEFORE USE, POWER OFF or pushing the blade with a piece of wood or set of pliers, but I credit this advice for not breaking a blade in the past couple years (knock on wood).
