I used this gun to paint a bathroom cabnet. I read the reviews before purchasing mine. First I read the instructions, second thanks to the reviews I tightened everything. I purchased a water seporater and set the preasure to 60 PSI. I then set the presure at to the gun to 20 PSI, I used a strainer funnel puchased at Harbor Freight. Then set the spray on cardboard. I had no leaks looks great.

I was getting bad advice before I wrote my last review, and I wasn't cleaning the gun regularly. You DO have to clean the nozzle each time you go back to use the gun. Once I figured that out, this spray gun worked flawlessly. I still think it's kind of a cheap unit all the way around, but it works great and you just can't go wrong for what they cost.

I have used this one to paint car paint...house paint does it all really nice pattern to lay down really nice paint or anything the 1.8 nozzle gives it that adaptability

I used this kit to paint a 6’ high wood fence and a center block shad. It made fast work of both jobs. I used a water base sealer/stain on the fence. Step stroke down, step stroke up, and repeat. It took longer to clean the gear than to do the 20 feet of fence. The shad was just as fast. The tank is a little small for the amount of fluid this gun can but out. First time tank users, plan on adjusting time for best results.

I will change my recommendation now. After the second sprayer's regulator had the same constant air-bleeding problem, I exchanged again, however this time I exchanged it for the HVLP version ($10 more). The only difference appears to be the gun itself and the fact that the manual advises a supply pressure of 30-43psi for this unit instead of the 50-70psi recommended for the other unit. This one did not bleed air, and although I have not yet run any fluids through it, it appears to work properly without any leaks, all pressures seem to be in range. So apparently the tech folks at HF were right, both of my first units were defective in the same way by some coincidence. The manager at the store was very nice, and helped compensate me for the trouble I had with the first two units.

Oh, I only gave 4 stars so far because have not yet fully tested the sprayer...I'll come back and update after I run some fluid through the gun.

leaks a little at the trigger but is manageable. A regulator at the air inlet works very well. for the price it does a geat job.

I've owned mine for about 8 or 9 years. The spray gun I have is of an older heavy duty style, but continues to operate well. The only problem I have now is the paint and air hose that connects the tank to the gun is cracked and leaking. This is the result of poor material from Asia. I can't speak for the new unit, but for the homeowner who will use it occasionally, around the home it will be fine.





As others have stated, try to find tools made in the USA. Did I mention "Greed"?

I bought this sprayer to prime and paint some trim and siding where brush strokes and roller patterns would have looked bad. The sprayer is easy to put together and after fiddling with the adjustments for a while I was able to get the desired performance. Run a few tanks of water through it until you learn how to adjust it. Also, make sure you have a compressor that is up to the task! An underpowered compressor will not be able to keep the up the flow necessary to sustain the volume of paint needed for an efficient job. Overall a good piece of equipment at a great price.
