With a paralysed right hand, I had to find a comfortable but efficient method for bench-top sanding of the cutting boards I make in exotic and very hard woods I use. I bought the first about 1 1/2 years ago and purchased four more since. I sand for many long periods and they have held wonderfully without problems. I keep them loaded with different grits, starting with 80 and ending with 400 grit to give the boards a very fine finish and lustre after applying only food grade mineral oil. They all have worked non-stop with only one giving any trouble, which they replaced in a jiffy.

Anyone needing to sand without fatigue should try them, as the natural weight of the instrument applies just the right amount of pressure and no effort is required, thus preventing fatigue. When my time comes to do finishing, I might even sand up to ten end-grain boards at once and I am 69 years old. No fatigue!

The sanding orbital rotation is quite high and the size if larger than regular orbital sanders and renders wonderful finishes. Additionally, sheet sandpaper is much less expensive than disks.

Try it and you will certainly be surprised.

I have had this sander for over 2 years and it works great on hard or soft woods the Built-in regulator makes this sander one of the best I have used and it holds up for hours of use you can even take a worn out peice of sand paper and glue a peace of scott-pad to it and polish your wood works Great

Bought this a couple weeks ago to help get my car ready to paint. I use it daily and have had NO problem.
Notice the book says, "oil DAILY". NOT all the time, or once an hour...
Tip: I learned a long time ago, "marvel mystery oil" is BEST on air tools. (and a lot of other things) Try it...the tool and the oil. :-)
