After having two standard trailer light sets go bad on me within two dunkings, I bought these based on the glowing reviews. I have not been disappointed. They've been on the trailer all summer and have been dunked at least 3 dozen times. I even leave them plugged into the car when I dunk the trailer and the lights just keep on working. They are also much brighter than the incandescent types and they don't corrode. The price is right too. I'd buy them again.

I used this kit to replace the old existing lights on my PWC trailer. The existing wires were 14 years old so I replaced the wires also. TOP TIP: Make sure you use a soldering iron to make all of your connections. Place a small amount of Vaseline on the connection to protect against corrosion and slide over the marine heat shrink (do not use normal heat shrink) once the marine grade heat shrink is shrunk in place spray on some liquid electrical tape, you will need to do at least two coats of this and your done.

I would use this kit again if I needed it.

Good Lights that are easy to install. I now only have to find good replacement lights for the sides and install those.

Grounding wire is now included on the pigtail and hooked into the trailer. Had to splice a section in as it was not long enough.

I installed these on my boat trailer 3 months ago. They have been flawless so far. Very bright and plenty of wire was included for the trailer (19 foot boat). No more corroded bulb sockets!

Couldn't be happier. Lights are sturdy and the kit comes with everything you need, including all mounting hardware, wiring, and license plate bracket. I wasn't sure at first that the license plate would be LED illuminated but it is by a clear window in the left-hand taillight.





Retrofitted a boat trailer with these in under 15 minutes. Didn't have to run an extra ground as other reviewers have noted.





Purchased a second set (using a 20% coupon of course) to install on the Harbor Freight aluminum cargo carrier. Probably overkill but they look great and make the carrier a little safer, especially at night. Like the trailer, did not have to run an extra ground . . . just screwed it into the aluminum frame and voila. Because the carriers aren't prewired, the wiring harness came in handy although I did have to cut the plastic grommet to accommodate my 5-pin connector.





Bottom line: buy these. They are bright, reliable, and a great value.

We purchased 2 sets of these to replace the trailer lights on our boat and jetski trailers... We were fed up with replacing the selaed incondescent bulb units every season. We are VERY pleased with how these look on the trailers. Have had them in the water while unloading/ loading a few times and so far they are holding up well. Very pleased with these lights and hope they continue to last for years to come.

These lights work great after I added another ground wire as others have had to do, not sure if this is a problem with the lights or if my and other trailers dont carry the load for ground? Anyway once an addition ground wire from trailer tonge to the lights work great, very bright, easy to install too.

Bought these a few days ago for a used trailer I just acquired. Got these at a lower price than I could find an incandescent kit at a local auto parts retailer.





Myself and a co-worker installed these with no problem, except that could not get them to work by grounding through the trailer frame. I had read other reviews on HarborFreight.com regarding having to run a separate ground wire, and sure enough, we did that and they work PERFECTLY.





Save yourself the trouble and headache, especially if you're running your wiring inside the frame: go ahead and add the extra ground wire. You'll be glad you did.





As for the tag frame: cheap plastic. I looked at it, laughed and it went in the trash.
