This thing held up through many rainstorms before dying. It's not intended for unprotected outdoor use, so I got my money's worth.

It takes superb dummy video. All of my dummy friends loved it.

This product is well suited for properties that are secure, but may require tactics to discourage mischievous activity. The units look real and have a motion detector built in. When motion is detected, the unit pans (rotates back & forth) and an LED blinks. This infers to potential prowlers that they have triggered some active electronics and will probably cause them to leave the premises. I gave 4 out of 5 stars, because the pan feature literally freezes up (doesn't work) when ambient temps are around or below freezing (32F). The LED still blinks, so at least it appears active.

I got the product and screwed it into a ceiling,(with provided hardware) and I noticed the center base started to crack, no biggie.
