Engine Cleaning Gun

After reading some of the negative reviews I almost didn't buy one. But I needed to do something as power washing with water on diesel engines is not the safest way to clean a diesel.
So I bought two in case the first one didn't work and I had a backup. After several months of use several times a week I'm still using the first gun. In combination with first useing the Harbor Freight soda blaster and then washing down the engine with the cleaning gun and paint thinner to remove oil residue I have cut down my labor preparing engines for repaint 80%. Also I use the gun at 90psi, it works better and havent had any problems yet at this pressure.

I use this to spray oil into rocker panels, doors, fender bottoms to prevent rust. It works well and very effective. It siphons the oil right up. Not sure about soap and judging from other comments, this may not be any good for engine degreasing. But to spray oil it rocks!

I just used this for the first time this weekend. Its like a mini pressure washer. It accepted a regular air line quick disconnect coupler, and the included 4 foot clear hose went on without issue. I tested with water on my girlfriends car. It worked really well for detailing little areas that are a pain to was by hand. I used some industrial strength solvents on my engine and it destroyed the caked on oil and grease. I would give this 6 stars if I could. Anyone who says this doesnt work, is a fool, or using a wimpy compressor.

I liked the way I could reach down around and under the engine. Good control and reach of where you want to spray cleaner. I used Simple Green and liked the results.

What a joke! Another example of those gimmicky gadgets. Mine went to the dumpster after the first attempt to use it.
The only way I got mine to work is to hold the bucket of soap about 3 feet above the nozzle. Waste of time.
Go to the car wash and spray some Simple Green on your engine and then pressure wash, as pro mechanics recommend.

right out of the box this didnt work. I took it apart and found it corroded inside and the passages all plugged with rust and gunk. I am going to exchange it, hopefully I just got a bad one.

This is a great example of, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". Got the product home, discovered that every removable part had to be either aligned or tightened. Upon use, and with correct air pressure, discovered that this product cleans an area about the size of a dime. Tried using hot soapy water and other solvents, no improvement. The product serves no useful purpose, including the intended one. This product will be going back to HF, don't waste your time, it's worthless; if I could give it a zero star I would.
