My son has sensory issues related to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Since we purchased the headphones, we have a new son who is confident and secure knowing that if the noise is too great, he can put on his headphones.

There are a lot of other products out there that we have tried... this product has them beat for cost, durability, ease of use and noise power ratio.

Also, due to the cost, we have a pair at school, one at home, one at Grandma's, one in the car and one in my mom purse...

Good set of muffs. They adjust to fit a variety of people, seem to block out loud noises well (don't expect total noise cancelation). I question how long the plastic headband parts will last, but for the price I don't think it's a bad deal at all.

Bought these for indoor range shooting. Not only do they fit my big ol' head just fine, but they are *amazingly* quiet for passive muffs, and work great in the indoor range (I shoot .357 Magnum...). Much higher dB reduction than other inexpensive passive muffs. Hint- if they're just a little tight, just stretch them out over an appropriate-size box or other object for a couple days and they'll relax just fine. VERY happy with this purchase.

I bought 3 sets and love them. I keep a pair next to all noise making machines. My Mother does woodwork as well and has lost hearing to the point of needing hearing aids. She got a set of ear muffs that cost almost a C-note, which was rated a couple db's less than these HFT ear muffs.
I like these better for a tenth the price and have a slightly better rating than the expensive ones.
Don't hesitate, get these and use them! Nobody wants to lose hearing. Just enjoy the Huge savings and get a set of ear muffs that rate better than most the big names. The fit is even more compfortable. If your around noise, this is a MUST HAVE item.

I got these to wear at IndyCar races after ending up with a really horrible headache that I couldn't shake after my first race, wearing those little foam ear plugs that go in your ear. These are great! They lower the engine sound a LOT so that you can still hear it (because they do sound wonderful) but so that you won't have a headache four hours later. The other great thing is that these seem aimed at blocking out white noise/constant noises like the engines, making it a lot easier to hear the announcers.
The only bad thing about them is that after a while they do start to become a little irriating around the ears so I just take them off during the yellow periods when the engines aren't as loud.

These hearing protectors offer a very good decibel rating of sound reduction. These hearing protectors rival ones that you would pay twice as much for at the big name stores. I have a couple of these, and use them when running the lawn mower, weed whacker, leaf blowers, power tools, etc.

My son has sensory issues related to aspergers. I had just bought him an expensive pair of sound suppression headphones at a not to be named sporting goods store. After one wear, our dog decided to render them usless and snacked on them. One of my employees suggested I try Harbor Freight. I never would have thought that they would carry this product. Not only are they inexpensive, but they are well made. The Noise Power Ratio is 37 which is much better than any hearing protection I have been able to find at the local sporting goods stores. Best of all, my son loves them. They make him feel confident. He likes the color. Although you cannot see it by the photo, the headphones fold into a nice compact "ball" that fits in my purse or his schoolbag. We can enjoy family activities. I recommend these headphones to anyone with a child that has sensory issues. Even if your child does not like/tollerate them, at [$] it is an economical option to try.
