I have 2 of these pumps. The first I bought at a local home store for over double the cost and it is 110V. I saw this 12V one and thought for the money I'll try it. I've used it to supply water to a pressure washer I used to clean off a dozer I rented and muddied up. I parked it down by the creek. I stuck a water filter on the end of a hose to protect the unit and it did a beautiful job. I used it to pump water out of a cistern during an ice storm when house power was out. Today I'm using it to back fill my well because a visitor did 5 loads of laundry and drained us out. I ran a 300' hose down to the pond (about a 40-50' drop) and hooked it up to the battery on the 4 wheeler. The pump would not move the water all the way up the hill so I connected the 110V older one at the well and with them both running the well is filled up. The only reason I wrote this is I looked at the pump on line to see how many gallons a minute it pumps and saw the low star ratings and thought this little buddy deserves at least one 5 star rating from a happy user!!! I've learned to fill a line ahead of it with water to keep the impeller cool. If the pump feel hot it's not getting enough water to self start.

Used to pump grey water from septic tank. Powered by a lawn mower battery and along with two water hoses, it pumped out septic tank in an hour and a half. No overheating, or any other issue.Great unit for many jobs if you have the time.

used this (along with a 12v automotive jump start booster pack) to transfer hundreds of gallons of diesel/#2 heating oil from an abandoned tank into portable 5gal tanks. primed itself just peachy!

Bought 1 pump and liked it so much bought 2 more. Great for winterizing mobile homes. Using a 12v pump is so much easier, quicker, and safer than using a 120v pump. No extension cords or finding power. Just bring a battery along.

This small water pump works SUPER GREAT removing access water inside your Boat...My Boat cover collapsed from a recent heavy snow...after thawing out it was flooded inside with water. I am well pleased with the performance of this pump.

Had mine for 3 years now and replaced the impeller 4 different times (very easy) mind you. I use it to tranfer fuels and it does a great job. The impellers aren't made for fuel and they swell over time if not cleaned out. But there cheep and well worth it. Tried automotive fuel pumps and just to slow and not very dependable.

Set it up as a bilge pump for my 17' aluminum boat. Would not run after brief use. Took the cover off the rubber rotating unit (4 phillips screws, seemed to be stainless) found the rubber rotating part was rubbing too hard on the cover. Cut out a thicker gasket to put under the cover plate, and now it works like a champ.

I have been using this little pump on the farm to supply water to a 2.8 GMP pressure washer and to water plants and trees. It has pumped about 500 gal so far about 100 gal at a time. It has been doing great. One thing I did notice is that if you use a weak suction line (cheap garden hose), this powerful little pump will collapse the line causing low water flow. This could be why some people have problems (just a thought). Use a good strong suction line.

Used this pump many times to transfer irrigation water from tank to trees. Ran continously for about 1 hour with no problems with only about 5 psig back pressure at the pump discharge nozzle. On one occasion the tank emptied , the pump lost suction and overheated before disconnecting the power cord. The pump ran dry for about two minutes, then the pump seized up.
Disassembled the pump and cleaned out melted plastic insulation, which prevented the armature from rotating.
The nylon impeller was all right with no sign of wear. Pump ran perfectly after assembly.
On another occasion used the pump on a drip irrigation setup and measured 30 psig back pressure in the 1/2" poly tube at the end of the run.
Pressure at pump discharged was about 35 psig.
Pump operated for about 5 minutes before the pump blew out the paper gasket. Purchased a Harbor Freight washer/seal kit, item 67667, which has two rubber gaskets that have same OD as original paper gasket. Increased the ID of the gasket with small sissors to clear the impeller and installed the pump cover plate, dry. Hopefully, the rubber gasket will hold the 35 psig back pressure.
The pump is rated for 50 psig.
If the pump cover leaks, will apply liquid gasket sealer to the contact surfaces.
The pump cover and housing both have a groove. The foam rubber gasket should deform into the two grooves and key the gasket to prevent blow out.
Surprised the pump design did not incorporate a rubber o ring rather than a dry paper gasket.
