I agree that they can break easily.

I used these ball end hex drivers for a timing belt job on my Audi. They work great for bolts that are obstructed, but if you need to put any force on the bolt to loosen it the head of the hex driver will snap off on the smaller sizes. I snapped the 5mm trying to remove the bolts on the thermostat housing. I would still recommend them, but just know that they are prone to breakage.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I tried to loosen a hard to get to bolt with one of these. It immediately broke. They are good if the bolt is loose but the idea is to get to loosen the bolt with one of these. I got about 30 seconds of use out of this before I had to return it.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Best Uses

    The end will twist off the end of this the very first time you put a load on it.

    When you take your broken bit back to the store get the straight end socket ( not the ball end) and maybe it might last longer

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
