I puchased this sprayer a couple years ago and the first project I sprayed with it was an old upright piano that I rebuilt. I sprayed pre-cat HIGH gloss laquer and it turned out perfect! I have had some experience spraying with my air gravity feed hvlp sprayer but this was great because it is so easy to set up and the air is always warm and dry! I have since sprayed thinned oil paint on some old lawn furniture, more laquer and also exterior latex house paint on an old front door. All worked great. The only thing with the latex is you need to thin it quite a bit so it takes a few coats to get it covered...but when it is done the grain is still visible and the paint looks amazing! VERY happy, don't hesitate one second if you are looking to get a sprayer for an amazing price! oh...buy an extra cup with a cover if you can find one.

used it to spray Omni Epoxy Primer on the bare metal roof of a Ford Mustang, sprayed a quart of it, at first on a practice fender I had some orange peel, but after I added some reducer to the concauction it eliminated the orange peel and looked pretty good, haven't tried to spray paint with it yet, just the epoxy primer, giving it 3 stars because I never used a HPLV gravity feed gun with a compressor to compare it too, so I am going middle of the road, I hope to paint my car with it, I heard others have done it

Comments about Chicago Electric Power Tools High Volume, Low Pressure Spray Gun Kit:

I used the sprayer to paint some baseboards. it worked fine on the first use, cleaned then stored it and a couple of days later, started it to continue some painting, it started fine then in less than a minute a grinding sound started comming out of the compressor unit and the air pressure was gone.... returning it to the store today.

      Great little sprayer

      By Jeepster

      About Me Beginner

      Pros

      • Coats Well
      • Easy to use

      Cons

      • Hose comes loose
      • Manual is lousy

      Best Uses

      • Touch-ups

Comments about Chicago Electric Power Tools High Volume, Low Pressure Spray Gun Kit:

No way to upload pictures, but I used this to do a complete reprint of my Jeep. It took a while to determine which nozzle to use, and how much to open the nozzle for the paint I was using (mil. spec. OD), but once I got it right it was great.

The only problem I had was the hose, it doesn't lock into the compressor or the gun very well. Both ends would, occasionally, come out. Not enough regret buying it, but enough to be annoying when it happened.

If you have never used a sprayer before, like me, the manual leaves a lot to be desired. I ended asking a friend who reprints cars for a living for advice.

Vehicles sprayed with a very high quality, high gloss finish.Practically no overspray, fog or mist wile using. No paint is wasted,it goes on the surface, not in the air!

Could cost 5 times the price, but it does not,so do not hesitate,it is a nice system that if used properly and attentively, will give you quality finishes on your automotive projects.

Two part epoxy car paint- Gun Kit

      By novice painter

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Chicago Electric Power Tools High Volume, Low Pressure Spray Gun Kit:

This gun has painted two pick-ups,a boat, and many other projects. The two part seems to flow better for me. If you take your time and mix correctly it looks as good as any of my air guns. I loaned it to my boss and he painted cab of a kenworth dump truck. Looks showroom and saved 2500.00. I like it alot. My air guns are collecting dust.
