I recently purchased a used restaurant ice caddy to use on catering and party jobs. Within two days the original casters came apart. After limping through a Independence Day party, I took one caster off to find a replacement. The manufacturer wanted almost $30 *each*...After some research, I headed to me local Harbor Freight and found these beauties on sale. Four casters and [$] later, and my ice caddy is back to original form.I did go with a smaller size caster on this replacement, from a 5" to a 3", but so far I can't tell a difference in mobility or on-the-job service.Here's a hint: before I left the shop and instead of having to carry the old caster, I placed the caster on my copier, with the mounting plate on the glass. This made a paper duplicate of the plate, thus when I found the casters in the store, I placed the copy on the new plate to make sure the mount holes lined up properly. Worked like a charm!Once I got back to the shop, the new casters were installed in less than five minutes and I'm done!!

If the price doubled I'd still buy. These are a tremendous value, especially when on sale -- really great bang for buck.

Rolls over extension cords fine (though I try to keep them out of the way).

All of mine are used for work benches that are moderately heavy (175-200 lbs).

Brakes work GREAT -- doesn't budge!

I bought 2 of these (used 3" fixed castors at one end) 4 years ago for my overly sturdy work bench that I almost daily move outside to work in the open air.(great when it starts to rain and I can quickly move back inside.) Got 16 more and put them under 3 more hand made material work tables and a folding steel table 30" X 96". It's great to have so many tables exactly the same height (34")for long work projects. They work well for my table saw, chop saw, and router table.
My heavy work table is easily 175# loaded, 3 other tables 70# ea(not loaded), and 30x96 table is 80#, easily 250-350# when loaded and moved.

I used a set of 4 of these to raise a #93454 oak workbench to a more comfortable working height while also making it easy to move around.

I put 4 of these on a home made (2x4 and plywood) cart to hold a miter saw, disk sander, and bench grinder. With four swivel casters the cart is easy to move and easy to park where you want it. Four brakes makes a stable work surface. I used 1/4 inch lag screws to fix the casters to the cart. Easy.

So far so good. Just used on a work bench and am very happy. Workbench + me standing on it (the ladder was waaayyy over there) was probably 400 pounds and the 4 casters held up fine. I am not sure about the long term quality, but based on all the other solid reviews and my use so far I will be buying these in the future for other projects.

If I could make it better I would tell harbor freight to make these casters bigger for more weight capacity (the same material with a brake).

I have put these on a couple of rolling tool carts. The carts have machines on top, mortiser, planer.
They also have 4 draws in each that are loaded with tools and supplies. So the carts are heavy, these replaced the solid rubber wheels that I had. These roll way better. Highly recommended.

I bought a bunch of these after seeing the reviews. I installed them on my Professional table saw, Jointer/planer, bandsaw, thickness planer and I love them. There the right size and everything rolls nice and easy. They where well worth the money and I plan on buying 8 more
