Metal Detector

I used it for pinpointing finds while metal detecting, real time saver. I like how you can adjust the sensitivity, so you can set it to only detect metal while about 1/2 inch away, up to an inch or two, depending on the size of the metal. Most metal detecting pinpointers are $100+ so this is a steal for the price. UNFORTUNATELY, it only worked properly for about 1 week, and then so-so for another week, before it totally pooped out. Luckily it has a warrenty, so I'm returning it tomorrow for a replacement. Will definately give it another chance, since it is so inexpensive and very functional. Hope my next one lasts a little longer.

I use this for Metal Detecting. Great for finding a coin or ring in a hole after digging.
Had it for 2 years and still works great.
Good stud finder as well.

I bought this detector to find lost spent brass in the grass at the range. I used it the other day and it works great. Even if you think you saw where the brass went it's almost impossible to find. Anyway not any more. The wand will let you know you crossed over the object and if you tilt the unit more vertical to use only the tip you can pin point the casing.
The case of the unit is plastic now. Not a problem but different from the other review. Also the Cordoba case fits perfectly. I will not be without one again.
I could have given it a 5 with no problem but it did give some false beeps. Now to be fair it may have detected brass just under the ground that I didn't bother to dig. I don't think (but I don't know) it will penetrate to deep into the ground but for what I need it for it's perfect.

Picked this up yesterday to help find spent brass in the grass. Works great for what I want it for. Those brass caseings can be impossible to find, This detector picks them up without a problem. The wand will find them and if you hold the detector more vertical you can pinpoint the target. It sure will find the brass you can't see. Only reason for a 4 is I got a few "false" beeps. Now to be honest this could be the thing is picking up some brass that was burried just under the ground. Other than that it's a 5. The housing now is plastic and the case is "cordoba' and is well fitted and of good quality. I won't be without one of these.

Picked this up today to find my spent brass in the grass. Even though I put a tarp down and have a brass catcher sometime they get away. This little detector found a ton of brass I would never have seen. The wand is great for fast acquisition of a target. But holding the detector a bit more vertical you can use the tip to pinpoint the brass. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is when I moved to another area I did get some false beeps. Now there may have been casings just under the surface of the ground I don't know. Anyway I would buy this again in a heart beat.
The new ones have a plastic casing and the holster is much better and fits great. It even comes with a battery!!

Bought this baby approx 1 year ago, worked like a charm up until today, then it just crapped out....don' t know why. The holster is too tight and came apart after repeated use, had to duck tape it back together. I used it for metal detecting hobby and it did perform great until it just died. I guess for the price, I'll get another but I'll modify the holster before using it.
