Comments about Chicago Electric Power Tools 3-1/2" Half-Moon Multi-Tool Blade:

I agree with most of the other reviewers. This blade is fine for soft materials like plastic, wood and drywall. But it is not good for metal. If you hit a nail while demolishing wood framing for example, you will break and/or dull the teeth. But for soft materials, it works good.
Because of the marginal quality, it would be better if the the blade was less expensive.

Poor cutting material

By Lomita Pines

Comments about Chicago Electric Power Tools 3-1/2" Half-Moon Multi-Tool Blade:

Nice tool, but very poor cutting blade. I hit a few minor nails and quickly wore through the teeth. OK... Bought another and used it to cut a few Pine/Fir mouldings and soon wore or burned through the blade teeth. I noticed the new blades look a bit different. I just bought one of these blades and it is still intact but looking preatty worn.

Time saver

Comments about Chicago Electric Power Tools 3-1/2" Half-Moon Multi-Tool Blade:

I must agree with Tom C , not for cutting nails. I just installed a laminate floor and had to undercut 3 door casings. I would still be lying there one the floor making a mess with other tools. That blade got through all 3, and was used to trim several pieces of the flooring as well.

this gave nails a good hard rub and wore the teeth flat, ok for plywood though.

Awesome for Drywall and wood..

Comments about Chicago Electric Power Tools 3-1/2" Half-Moon Multi-Tool Blade:

Made pristine cuts in drywall. Much faster than a rotozip and can get into tighter places. Only bad thing was that some of the teeth broke or wore off after hitting a few nails or staples.

Blade overheats

By Ray Kornele

Comments about Chicago Electric Power Tools 3-1/2" Half-Moon Multi-Tool Blade:

Works fine for wood, but don't rush it. It will overheat, and burn the wood.

Question is, will it cut metal?
