So far I feel that for the money it's not a bad deal and will get a lot of use out of it. If I had a bigger shop I'd probably build something better. I was disappointed that it only has one collet wrench when the advertisment clearly states "wrenches".

First and foremost have both hands on the router before switching on if not it'll twist considerably and probably break the handles. I have just the router it didn't have the table. I guess they stopped selling just the router alone now. I've had this for over 3 years now and it is a very powerful router. I don't use it alot but plan on using it more. I just got done using it to build a router table and used it around the house for some projects I was doing. Had no problems with it and cutting went smooth. I buy alot of HF stuff and am amazed at some of the comments on how it doesn't work then they say they were using it as something else. If you use as intended and properly care for your stuff it'll last a long time.

I am a disabled home woodworker. Was looking for a portable table router to replace old one. Have had for 6 months now. Works great. Easy to use. Has more than enough power for my woodworking needs. The only problem I had, was that the collett was too short, and bits would not extend enough through table to make full cuts. Purchased a collett extender and now works perfectly. Make sure that you use 1/2 inch shank bits for less vibration. I also installed a router speed control (#43060) for less chip out.

Routed 4- 2'x 4x 6'stock for legs on shelves I made.Setup went perfect for daddo - two swipes each board and assembled my stretchers for holding the shelves. Called HB for tech. advice on the collets. Difficult to change, so I am waiting for 2 additional lock nuts to use for each of the 3 size collets-reasonably priced, have to be patient...covering alot of H2O to get here in USA.Once I pickup those I will give it 5 stars.

very good machine for the money.the only problem I have is the allignment of the two fence sides is a hair off.

The cross slide fence is much too loose fit in slide guide. this makes accurate cutting difficult. Check it out in a store first. they may have fixed the newer ones by now but one we got 9 months ago was not good

Tried using this to make a simple spice rack made of pine. Just wanted it to make the 1/2" box ends and grooves for the shelves to sit in. The bits are very difficult to change out and it's difficult to get the collet tightened properly. Additionally, it does not extend far enough through the table for the bits to function properly. Lesson learned, sometimes things are cheap because they are made cheap. Spend the money and buy a real router!

I'm returning this unit. The first time I used it I ruined what I was working on as the router bit flew out from the collet even though it was installed snug. After that I wrenched each bit into the collet super snug only to have it be a PITA to remove each time. It also causes the bits to gall. Not pleased with the quality. Oh well...

Purchased at an HF outlet 50 miles from home. Unpacked and found missing parts. Called and 6 weeks later received parts some of which were wrong ones even though I made absolutely sure when I called that I specified the correct items. Called again. Six weeks later received a shipment again with incorrect parts. Frustration! Also adjustemnt and setting of bits is cumbersome. Directions poorly written and confusing. Probably too late to return this thing now. Lesson learned - you get what you pay for.
