I have never liked to paint until now. This is my first spray gun and I must say, it made me a believer. We used it to give our dated old flat panel oak cabinets a makeover from honey stain to white paint. Being that this is my first spray gun, I took my time to get familiar with the adjustments just spraying water on pieces of masking paper first. Once I felt comfortable with that I did the same thing with primer, paint and so on. I used an oil based stain blocking primer. With some experimenting I found that thinning it 2 parts primer to 1 part mineral spirits at 50 PSI sprayed best. With the latex paint I found that thinning it 4 parts paint to 1 part Latex Extender at 35-40 psi sprayed best. This was the perfect setup to spray our cabinet doors and they look amazing. When I figured out that there is hardly any overspray, I got brave and took it inside and did all of the sides of the cabinets and drawer fronts too with excellent results. Needless to say, I am happy with this purchase and will likely buy another one to have a separate gun for primer. (Oh, and as a side note, I used a 1.6hp 33gal 120v air compressor - you don't need a huge compressor for this gun.)

Dont let the price fool you-this thing is no joke. Because it slightly pressure feeds from the cup, it will flow heavier viscosity coatings without sputtering, and without excessive thinning or high air pressure. I also have the famous HF 43430 HVLP gun and an optional 2.0mm fluid tip, but this gun just sprays better with thick paints. It's not really built for a lifetime, but it's unbeatable for the price. Beware- mine was missing the spring for the pattern adjuster screw and wouldn't hold the setting. I added a cut-down spring from a bic lighter and all is well. This gun is a great deal that works.

I bought this to use with latex paint for smaller jobs where I didn't want to go through the hassle of breaking out the airless. I was really impressed with the spray quality. The finish from this little sprayer was indistinquishable from a much more expensive airless system. Its also way easier to clean up.

I wouldn't use it to repaint the whole house since it only hols a quart of paint, but for painting a cabinets, piece of furnature or a single wall it's perfect!

I thought all these good reviews were from someone at harbor freight. So i bought the paint sprayer myself. I was stunned at how well it worked. Once you figure out the proper air flow painting becomes a breeze. I was spraying primer and laytex paint and not once did i add any water. Just does a great job!

I bought this a few weeks ago to paint a brick retaining wall and the brick walls of my garage. The gun worked flawlessly after some tweaking of the air pressure which, for me, worked best at 30 p.s.i. I used Benjamin Moore Fresh Start to prime, which didn't need to be thinned. I used Moore for the top coat and thinned that 8 oz. per gallon. I am extremely pleased with the ease of use and the speed in which I completed the job. Can't beat this sprayer for the price.

I had a multi-layer panel fence that would have taken me hours to paint with a roller and brush. I would have also wasted a large amount of paint. I thinned my paint with 10 oz. of water and was spraying the fence minutes later. I was able to adjust the spray volume and width quite easily. The biggest problem is now I am looking for other things to paint around here. I'm even looking for friends that might want to borrow it.

Used this to spray on primer in our kitchen remodel. Made the job go really fast once I figured out how to adjust the spray volume. Only gripe I have is the cup is kind of small, so I had to refill often, and it was a little awkward getting the paint into the cup. But once I got that figured out, it was a breeze!

I use this gun to paint my deck which is a 12X12 deck. I painted it by hand first and it took about a total of 12 hours. With this gun it took me about 4 hours. It worked very well and only cost me [$] on sale! They tried selling me the extra warranty for $5 but heck its only [$], if it breaks you can just get a new one. Im very please with my purchase and I used Behr Solid Wood Deck paint. I only used 4 ounces of water to thin out the paint. Probably didnt have too but did it anyways.

I've used this unit on everything from outside fenceboard to painting my complete celler. For the cellar, I cut my Valspar latex 2oz/32oz - it sprayed beautifully (while cutting the painting time from almost 6 hours down to 2 and then some time for touch-up). I've had many disappointments with low/med-end airless units but this sprayer does a good job. I'm driving it with an 8hp/125cfm HF compressor. I've never tried any of the high-end spray equipment available but for me, this unit performed adequately. If you're new to spraying, I don't think you can beat this unit especially at this price - use some of your savings on masking tape and drop cloths though!
