Comments about Pittsburgh Large Bearing Separator:

I used it in my 20 Ton shop press also from Harbor Freight (Great Item for the price as well)to press off the rear bearing races off the hubs from a 2002 Lexus RX300 All Wheel Drive. There was very little surface are for this tool to grab on to but it pulled it off with out a hitch No flexing of the tool!!!

Comments about Pittsburgh Large Bearing Separator:

I used this on a Borg Warner T5 trans to press off the gears and hubs. Worked just fine and was very sturdy, I didn't find it to be lightweight like some other reviewers.

But I didn't like the thick paint/powercoating finish. After some presses it started flaking off the jaws...I don't need bits in my gears. I think it should come instead in a blk oxide finish.

    Not this time

Comments about Pittsburgh Large Bearing Separator:

Been happy with a fair number of Harbor Freight purchases, but this one's a stinker. Tried to remove an outer bearing race from a front wheel hub, using a 2-jaw puller, and the bolts in the thing started to flex before the race had even budged. "Heavy-duty" tools are pretty much hit-and-miss at HF.

    Back it goes.

    I'll agree with Kyle

Comments about Pittsburgh Large Bearing Separator:

Definitely not the strongest tool in the world and having a hard time removing the axle bearings from my differential housing. It doesn't even look like it sets between the housing and the bearing correctly. I managed to get it to work with the pinion bearing, though. Probably because it had a .033" shim in it. I'd be hard pressed to give it any more than 3 stars as it actually worked for something.

Comments about Pittsburgh Large Bearing Separator:

Was using to press out inner pinion bearing and the tool bent, still got bearing off though. I used the press to straighten it back out, not the strongest tool in the world.

Comments about Pittsburgh Large Bearing Separator:

It works great most of the time. It's a little bulky and bends a lot when pulling with a lot of force.
