I have been buying AA Alkline over and over again and again becuase my GE Digital camera said that is all it could take and it would die at the most inapatune time. Since I bought these I have not had a problem taking pictures or video and I have over 125 photos on this set of batteries and they still are fully charged. Kudos to HF

I use a Lacrosse smart charger and carefully track the status of my rechargeable battery inventory. These outperform all of the typical shelf brands and consistantly maintain their stated capacity with no problems observed. Invest in a $30/$50 charger like Lacrosse or Maha and junk all the dumb chargers you have now. You will then experience first hand how convenient and reliable rechargeable batteries can be if charged and used properly.

These are a lot better than the older NiMh batteries carried by HF (with the darker green and black label). Their shelf life is much longer; the old ones would lose a considerable part their charge just sitting for two or three weeks. I use these in camera flash units and a Canon Powershot SI5 digital camera as well, and there's no comparison.





These seem to retain their integrity better, as I did have some of the old style actually leak though they were in a HF-supplied charger, and I've never seen that with these newer ones. Be sure you grab the right ones if both are still available.





Be aware, however, that the chemistry of NiMh batteries in general is different than alkaline batteries, and devices needing a true 1.5V will see these as low or depleted from the start since they're rated at 1.2V. So if your device requires 1.5V (or a multiple of that) to run, rechargeables may not work well for you. This isn't a reflection on the HF batteries, as all NiMh cells are 1.2V (as are the old NiCds).





These are one of the best buys around, especially when on sale!

I got these cheap on sale here 6 months or so ago.


They run my wireless headphones 4-6 times longer than any other re-charges ive used. They last me a week instead of a day or two.


Have not tried the standard NiMh, but these Hi-Caps really work great.


I am on-site now ordering AAA, 9v and D's

I build battery packs from these for r/c and also use them in my digital camera. They have the fastest flash refresh rate of any battery I've ever tested including T-Energy. These batteries also reliably put out 2150mah at a high drain which is unusual. Most can only do 60% of their rated capacity. I also buy them on sale and put them in my digital when I need the speed. I'm very impressed and surprised by them.

I'm a professional photographer and seems my life is spent trying to find new and improved AA rechargeables. I bought a set of the three different rechargeables HF sells. They were all respectable, but these guys are real standouts; not only the best from HF, but the best I've used in my flash ever. They last a LLLLOOOONNNGG time, and recycle times are amazingly fast. I wait until they go on sale and then I buy about twenty at a time. Mark them with a Sharpie with the date you bought them to keep track. One year on, and mine still rock with heavy use.

I bought some of these using the email coupon. I wanted to replace the older ( dark green ) NiMH batteries in hopes that these would last longer. Needless to say I was not that impressed with these newer ones. They only lasted few more flashes before I had to replace...so paying more for such a small improvement is not worth it. I too am a professional photographer and use lots of batteries...so recharging is a most. I would rather use my money and buy 2 of the older type batteries for the cost of one of the newer ones..
